The RSPB and Northumbrian Water have joined forces to urge people to use waste fat to feed garden birds.

 Details
Too often householders simply pour unwanted fat and grease down the sink where it can cause blockages (either at that point or further down the line) leading to localised flooding. However by mixing fat with bird seed and other scraps, or soaking break in unwanted grease for example, we can provide energy packed food to birds during the cold weather when they need it most.
